GreenTouch Project

The GreenTouch program is back again annually in the month of May! This was previously canceled due to COVID  and Clearwater-Polk was unable to participate in the between 2020-2022.

The GreenTouch project is a partnership between Minnesota’s Touchstone Energy cooperatives and the Minnesota State Park system.  Since 1999, Clearwater-Polk has partnered with Itasca-Mantrap Electric Cooperative in Park Rapids and Itasca State Park.  Volunteers from both cooperatives meet at Itasca the first Saturday in May to plant trees, remove bud caps, rake debris and various other activities to get the park ready for the summer season.

Volunteers are treated to refreshments and lunch. Each volunteer will receive a pair of gloves before heading out to different parts of the park to complete whatever task park staff need help completing.  Start time is 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Not only is the GreenTouch Project a worthy cause, but it's FUN!  For more information, contact Tara or the Member Service Manager, Matt at (218) 694-6241.
