To assist our members and solar contractors, we have available a streamlined process through the NOVA Power Portal for a safe and reliable distributed generation interconnection experience with renewable energy.
Our goal is to protect the safety of cooperative personnel and members, maintain the integrity and reliability of the grid, and establish mechanisms to ensure rate equity for all members. Because interconnected generation systems can affect the safety and reliability of the distribution system, technical interconnection procedures have been developed that address those safety and reliability impacts. These procedures ensure that we can continue to provide you and all other members with safe and reliable electricity service.
We are ready to help by providing information and answering questions. We want to give you the tools you need to make an informed decision about an interconnected generation system.

Compliance notification to Co-Generation Members
In compliance with Clearwater-Polk Electric Cooperative's adopted rules relating to cogeneration and small power production, Clearwater-Polk Electric Cooperative is obligated to interconnect with and purchase electricity from cogenerators and small power producers who satisfy the conditions as a qualifying facility. Clearwater-Polk Electric Cooperative is obligated to provide information free of charge to all interested members upon request regarding rate and interconnection requirements. All interconnections require an application and approval to become a qualifying facility.

The 2025 distributed generation rate for excess kilowatt-hours generated is $0.10863 for the Residential / Single Phase and $0.10990 for Small commercial / Three Phase and 0.08991 for Large commercial/Industrial.
